Not too shabby...

I love this room! I want to jump right through the computer into this comfy and casual, shabby chic space! From the white stone walls, to the sea grass floors, and beautiful and oh so girly slipcovers... I love EVERYTHING!

Happy Friday!

The weekend is here! HOORAY! I am so ready for a relaxing weekend! After work tomorrow, I will head up to our beach place and stay there Saturday night and all Sunday. It is supposed to be gorgeous and in the 70's so I am super excited! The first official day of spring is tomorrow! What are your plans? I hope you enjoy every minute of your weekend!

I love this dress, the pretty pastel balloons, and everything about this shot taken by the talented, Agnes Lopez (Whom I finally had the pleasure of meeting today!)

Capturing the Cruise

Here are a few photos that my mother in law snapped while aboard the boat! My main camera is broken, and I can't find the charger for the other one. (I know, should have just gone out and bought a new charger... But, that's been the last thing on my mind! ;) Therefore, Charlene captured what she could with her camera until her battery died on the 3rd day... BUMMER.

Anyway, we made 3 stops in 6 days: 1st stop- Key West, 2nd stop- Grand Cayman Islands, and 3rd stop- Jamaica. It was a great trip with my husband, his brother and the in-laws! Enjoy the pictures!

Green Girl

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! As I was thinking "green" all day today, I thought of my love for green in fashion and thought of two important green dresses in particular that I chose to wear for past events in my life...

1) The ever so green dress I sported during my high school pageant- (wish I had a picture handy to scan! I mean this dress was GREEN!)

2) The green Oscar number I flaunted at my Rehearsal dinner- (pictured below)

Must be something about green... I LOVE IT!

It's Clearly Lucite Love!

I love the use of Lucite, in small doses, when decorating a space. It just takes one or two pieces to really make a beautiful and chic statement. Lucite accessories and accent pieces, when used tastefully and not in abundant, can mix with so many different styles of design too! It is edgy, fun, pretty, and cool all in one!

BeeGee Bags

A friend of mine, and Pluma Jewelry designer, Treffry, shared a great bag line with me called BeeGee Bags! BeeGee Bags is a small company based out of Washington D.C. that takes pride is sewing and finishing every bag in house! You can even choose from various fabrics/prints, and order a custom bag to your liking. It's the perfect little clutch to carry for spring, great for a bride, or to give as a bridesmaid's gift! Check out how pretty they are!

Sunday Sweet Tooth Satisfier

Happy Sunday everyone! God has continued to bless us with PERFECT weather! It's such a gorgeous day here! The hubs and I are about to do some yard work! =)

Anyway, I want to share a yummy recipe that I received from the sweet, Mrs. Diane Berry! After trying the Toffee Pecan Bars for the first time, I HAD to have the recipe! She kindly shared, and they have become one of my favorite sweet tooth satisfiers! They literally melt in your mouth! I could eat a whole pan... ENJOY!

Toffee Pecan Bars

Top Layer
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
1 bag of Heath Bits ‘O Brickle (make sure you don’t get the choc. ones! I get these at Super Wal-Mart or Publix… most grocery stores don’t carry them except at holiday time)
2 cups chopped pecans
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Bottom Layer
1 box Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
1 softened stick salted butter
1 egg

Mix together bottom layer ingredients by hand in bowl. Mixture will be very thick; Press mixture in 9x13 pan (sprayed w/Bakers Joy). Make sure dough is even in pan. Now mix together all top layer ingredients by hand and pour on top of bottom layer. Bake at 325 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.

*Best to let them set for 2-3 hours before cutting. Even better to bake the night before and let them set until the next day!

Psalm 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised!

Sunday Simple Dip Satisfier

On my way down south to board the ship and thought I'd satisfy your taste buds with a quick and easy queso dip recipe that is a favorite of mine and my girlfriends! It's really not even a recipe, it's so easy! We make this for all our girly gatherings, at parties, or occasions we have and I just love it! Enjoy!

Rat Pack Rotel Dip

1 block Velveeta Cheese, cut into small cubes

1 can Rotel (I use mild)

Heat cheese and can of Rotel together in crock pot on low, stirring occasionally. Heat until melted. Serve with tortilla chips.

*Double for large parties

*Great with ground sausage or ground beef too! (Brown, drain, and stir into melted cheese)

Bon Voyage!

I've been dreaming of crystal clear waters...

and beautiful sunsets...

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! It's finally here! We leave tomorrow for our cruise! I am so excited, but sad I'm not able to write every day next week! I will take plenty of pictures to document the trip! I can't wait to sail the high seas and get my tan on! (FINALLY!)
